SOLID ROCK KINGDOM CHURCH ENDS YOUTH SUBMIT IN GRAND STYLE

…Christian youth charged on excellence, trust in God and skills

 Inspirational and enlightening lectures, electrifying praises and worship, dance quake and power packed prayers were the common features that headlined the just concluded National Youth Convention of Solid Rock Kingdom Church in AKWA Ibom State, Nigeria.

The event ended last Saturday, 30th March, 2024 with a call on Christian youth to race for excellence, trust in God and acquire 21st century skills in order to succeed in a contemporary society.


The convention which is an annual event of the church was held at New Heaven Tabernacle, a branch of Solid Rock Kingdom Church in Oron, Akwa Ibom State. 


No lesser personalities headlined the event with powerful exhortations and knowledge sharing, than the founder and President of the church, Apostle John Okoriko and wife, Evangelist Eka Okoriko, also attending the event as special guests were Dr. Ebi Eno-Ibanga- registrar, Akwa Ibom State University, and Mr. Ime Uwah renowned entrepreneur and Senior Special Assistant to Akwa Ibom State Governor on Entrepreneurship Development. Amongst other ministers of God and Special Guests, including celebrity actress, Ini Edo who addressed the audience via internet service. 









The convention began with an inspiring teaching delivered by the Secretary General of the church, Pastor Linus Ukoenang on managing relationships; the event later snowballed through powerful praise and worship sessions, dance quake, choir ministration, with the climax being presentation of lectures and gospel message on the title of the convention; the race for excellence. 


Mr. Ime Uwah lectured on how to succeed in business and flourish in challenging times, followed by Apostle Okoriko’s call on the youth to shun illicit drugs, and value their bodies. He described the body as the foundation and major platform for the nurture of the virtue of excellence.  

Dr. Ebi Eno-Ibanga emphasized on excellent moral values, trusting in God and self improvement as keys to achieving excellence.


In his speech the National Director of Youth Aglow Movement International, Mr. Victor Edikpo said the annual convention is usually a season for the youth of the church to rekindle their faith in God  and brace up for the work of evangelism. He thanked all the attendees and urged them to take full advantage of the information and spiritual importations at the event. 


Some of the special moments were; the special ministrations of gospel rap songs by the duo of in house musical acts by name kingsley Rufus a.k.a Kistarry and Ubong Samuel a.k.a Uzeal Eminent, electrifying choir presentation by “the rock singers”, the debut of campus fellowship choir, and the melodious renderings of hit tracks of his music album by Don Win, another popular in-house gospel in the church.

In addition to drama by the church theatre, and presentation of awards to deserving contributors to evangelical development of the church. 


The convention ended with a powerful prayer session led by a quartet of Pastors.

SKIT MAKERS NOW TO WAIT FOR FG APPROVAL BEFORE RELEASING SKITS

Skit makers now risk arrest if they release their skits or contents without the approval of the relevant government agency.
