Gov. Umo Eno will empower 5000 entrepreneurs in 4years - Ime Uwah

The Senior Special Assistant to Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno on entrepreneurial Development, Mr. Ime Uwah has said that no fewer than 5000 AKWA Ibomites will benefit from the Governor’s business grants worth half a million Naira per beneficiary,in addition to trainings, within the next 4years.
Mr. Uwah, himself a serial entrepreneur and business mogul made the announcement yesterday in Oron where he spoke as guest speaker at the National Youth Convention of Solid Rock Kingdom Church.
While speaking on the title; Becoming a successful entrepreneur in a challenging economy, he pointed out that entrepreneurs must continue to evolve, diversify and focus on what is selling per time depending on their economic environment.
He listed new skills, leveraging technology and adding value as key elements to success in the 21st century business environment.
In his words, “no matter the challenges in the economy, there is always something that is selling per time. What a smart entrepreneur has to do is to ensure that he is adding value and solving present problems”.

On the efforts made by the present administration in the state to support entrepreneurs, Mr. Uwah informed the audience that His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno is determined to train and support 5000 entrepreneurs in the next 4years through the Ibom-LED programme.
“At Ibom Leadership and Entrepreneurial Development center, We have just graduated the second batch of four hundred (400) trainees, making it a total of eight hundred (800) beneficiaries of the programme so far. The latest graduates of the programme will receive their grants of five hundred thousand Naira (500,000) each soon. I encourage every business person here to apply when we announce the next batch. Our procedures are very transparent and I assure you that anyone who is serious with his business can get selected for the training and supports”, he added.
The 2024 youth convention of Solid Rock Kingdom Church ended yesterday, Saturday, with a call on Christian youth to race for excellence, trust in God and acquire 21st century skills in order to succeed in a contemporary society.
